Girbau’s 6 Series washers continue to reap success. 6 Series washers were recently awarded the Energy Star certification in the United States for optimum energy consumption.
Tests carried out on the 8kg washer (HS-6008) demonstrate that this machine uses far less water and electricity than those of other manufacturers.
Having been awarded the certification is an acknowledgment of Girbau’s efforts to reduce energy consumption in its machines, with the resulting benefits both financially and environmentally.
Minimum energy consumption
According to the results of the tests, Girbau's HS-6008 is the washer which consumes the least amount of energy based on an estimated 392 washes per year or 8 loads per week.
The HS-6008 also tops the MEF ranking (Modified Energy Factor) which studies the washer’s efficiency, evaluating the amount of energy used in the spin process to extract moisture.

WRAS Certification
What’s more, all the 6 Series washers have recently received WRAS approval (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme), which certifies that these washers comply with the requirements of any equipment which comes into contact with the public water supply, in the United Kingdom.
WRAS certification guarantees that Girbau’s washers can at no time contaminate the public water supply.
Having received both Energy Star and WRAS approval once again confirms Girbau’s willingness to work for the good of protecting the environment, together with the company’s existing ISO-14001 and EMAS approval certifications.
